December Festivities Begin!
It’s that time of year once more where we begin to Roll out Christmas festivities and start to give away the Kitchen Sink! This year is no exception and today sees those festivities come to life. Please READ below before wandering in to chat and yelling ‘Err what do I do with these????’
You will shortly start to see Christmas based Festive items being handed out by the Festive Ticker. Again, if you’re new this hands out Festive items (placed directly into your Misc Store) at random periods. How much you get is based on how long you played since the last time it triggered.
So the MORE you play the game, the MORE festive loot you will get!
The festive Ticker will run all through December right up till the 2nd of January.
Let’s review what’s likely to be Dropped
First off there are a bunch of ‘San Ticlaws‘ items. These have various names but all begin with ‘San Ticlaws‘. These are being collected and stashed away for Christmas Morning when they will be handed out to the Orphans in the Sphere.
You can hand them in (for XP) at any of the ‘San Ticlaws Collection‘ offices.
Then we have the ‘Coops Christmas Exchange Items‘. There are Ten of these and they should be collected and traded in for XP and Christmas Points. The same stores will offer you a selection of December ONLY Specials. These cost Christmas points. I’m sure you get the idea!
You can hand them in (for XP) at any of the ‘Christmas Exchange‘ offices.
Then we have a series of Xmas – Lost Documents. These were sucked into space out of my personal cabin. These need to be returned via a Competiton I started for their safe return. Check out the Fat reward (yes another Christmas Resource Token is on offer) for collecting one of each 20 Xmas – Lost Document.
You can hand them in (for a FAT Prize) By reading and following THIS COMPETITON
You may also find a few ‘other items‘ in the Festive hand out. These along with ALL the items can if you so choose, be traded at any Festive Store. Please note that all the items have Bios, most tell you what to do with them and also include a date for them disappearing from your hold!
Christmas Taggers!
It looks like the Christmas taggers have struck once again. They have been out and about with their spray cans and tinsel making the lace look somewhat brighter
But of course, the authorities are furious, as are many Captains!
So if you spot there festive ‘Taggings’ please REPORT ONE. You only need report one and you may report one for Each Alt toon you have, though alts must report themselves!
The Taggers seem to have used a Hologramtic pain this year on Captain ships loadouts so you may find the image changes as you twist it in the light. The Authorities have promised to make sure all captains loadouts and promenades are cleared of this awful tagging once the Christmas festivities are over. In the meantime see one report it and claim yourself a prize pack of goodies!
Festive NPC’s
I will be talking to the Festive Store shortly and asking them for their roster of Festive NPC’s. These will be sent out to the Settlements that have asked for them in the forum thread OVER HERE.
If you have your settlement name down already, I will be visiting each of you and replacing any current Festive NPC’s with Christmas ones. If you have NOT yet added your name or don’t yet have a Festive NPC don’t worry. Add your settlements details AS REQUESTED and I will see that your looked after.

December is the time when it makes me think of the special times of Christmas preparations and there comes core exiles with some nice style of game Goodies for us to try!

I have been playing Core Exiles regularly for almost 10 years now. I love the fact that after this much time, there is still a lot of development. There are many, many things for newer players to explore and larger, more long-term investments for players that have been around awhile. It never gets boring.
In addition, there is a great support staff and player base that is generous with their time and experience to help out when things are not so obvious.
Always love December Festivities especialy the Christmas Mech War!!

I love CE – the community is great, and it’s been over ten years that I’ve been playing. There aren’t many games that have that kind of longevity!

One thing I always regretted was starting to play CE in January and missing out on that year’s Christmas festivities. Well not this year mt friend. I’ll keep this post short so I can get back at it!
Christmas time is always the funnest time of the year in CE. There’s always competitions and events happening. And it has become increasingly easier to earn passive income if you dont have as much time to spend on it as you would like.
The December Festivities are always the best time of the year in the CE universe.

Christmas time is always the funnest time of the year in CE. There’s tons of giveaways and competitions. There’s always something to do in CE as well as opportunities to earn passive income for those who dont always get to spend as much time as they would like to playing.
Totally lost amidst the different Christmas tokens the festive center and the “Grinch” NPC but I suppose that I should take the time to read “seriously” the announcing posts. A fun game anyway..
As nearly all the comments have stated, December is a great time to be involved in this game as there are so many bonus events going on and “Coops” gives away so much to all who are involved in them. Thanks mate, great game, great group of people involved.
The fourth quarter ( mid-October thru New Years) is always my favorite time playing CE. With all
the holidays, contests, giveaways, Challenges, etc, as well as the new store goodies, along with
the traditional end-of-year game upgrade, it forces you into non-stop play just to not miss out on something.
I typically read the forums here about once or twice a week, but during this time I check in daily just
to not miss out on something. Action packed. A great big thanks to Coops for all the work involved during this
time, he must literally be sleeping at his keyboard all during the Fall.
Awesome game. So many ways to build and grow your galactic empire. Very addictive. Always plenty going on.
Always enjoyed the Christmas period, in fact its from Oct to Jan as there is so much going on with Comps and giveaways that Coops runs.

This game is awesome. It gives me the chance to live out my Firefly dream with an excellent group of people. Even when you go on hiatus for awhile, they are still there welcoming you back!
December (actually from mid-October through New Years) in CE is always great: lots of competitions, give-aways and festive items to collect and trade! You just can’t beat the fun and festivities that Coops always has lined up.

The competitions are so much fun, I’m definitely spending more time in the game. All the players worked so hard to complete all 53 challenges, the last ones we thought were going to miss got done just under the wire.
I get a huge kick out of the descriptions and the pictures for items, and the pop-ups in promenades. Oh yeah, the rewards are awesome.
Yet another Coops contest – worth doing for sure. Those that don’t miss out !
I really like the Xmas competitions. I have already completed the Lost Documents comp and now working on the ‘exchange’ reward items. Good going Coops.
