Olympic Games
Hi there Fellow Exiles,
Coops here the Developer for Core-Exiles. I wanted to drop you all a line and ‘point’ at the upcoming Olympic Events and Festivities. I’ve been posting about these over on the forums, but I realise that not everyone frequents them all the time.
Olympic Events
So for those that missed the posts, we will be starting an Olympic Event to match the dates from the start of the main Winter Olympics through till the end of the Paralympics.
That means that from 6.00 AM on the 9th of February through till 4.00 PM on the 18th of March we will be running our Festivities. There are two major elements for those that have not played during an Olympic Event before.
Collect Beacons! These you can drop off at an Olympic Office between the dates above. Do this for XP, credits and a chance to be in the top 20 players for a special prize.
Then there are the Flags- Everyone loves a flag hunt 🙂 You have to collect 34 unique ones and take them to the NPC at the Olympic Center (same Office). These are then traded for a Special Olympic Pod and some other nice goodies.
We will also be running a number of sideline events and Festive competitions in the forums, so it’s going to be one place to keep an eye on for a few weeks 🙂

Yes, CE usually offers a longer term competition in conjunction with most major world events, like Olympics,
ParaOlympics, World Cup, and most Holidays. There is almost always a premium item or two to acquire,
plus tons of goodies, treats, and other giveaways. Its easy to get one of the items with only moderate effort but
to get them all takes a dedicated effort – which a lot of players accomplish.
Every few months there are games and these are a very good way to win premium game items and to enjoy fellowship with others enjoying the game. Unlike competitions in other games, on this site, everyone wins!
