New Galaxy – Under Construction

Recently, I’ve been kept very busy in real lif,e what with a drop in CE Support and the addition of two extra feet to the Cooper household, plus the taking on of a new freelance role to meet all the needs in life, I’ve had to pull back on my development time.

That’s not to say that things have stopped. I’ve been fixing bugs, tinkering with some changes and also plodding along the path of allowing you to all ‘Return to the Core’, just albeit much slower than I had anticipated when I set out on this road.

I have made a decision that, as I may not be able to bring my ‘total goal’ to fruition in one go I’m going to split it up. So, rather than working on the whole project and releasing in one go I’m going to release it piece by piece. The first element of this is the construction of a New Galaxy, the addition of new planets, Starbases, Asteroid Fields and an expanded Nav Screen. This in turn adding the ability to interact with non-stellar objects, such as AI fleets, Pirate entities, Caches, hideouts, etc, directly from the Nav screen.

Name That Place – Voucher
It got me thinking that although I have a list of ‘suggested names’ to go alongside my own selection, those with deep enough pockets and an interest in making a stamp on CE might like the opportunity to purchase a ‘ Name That Place‘ voucher.

This would enable you to contact me directly and make a request for a Planet, Star base, Asteroid Field or even a System of YOUR Choosing. Only real rule is it must not fall foul of the general rules we follow at CE, so nothing rude or offensive and let’s try to keep them within the realm of SCIFI Each ‘Voucher’ will allow you to request, the naming of a single Planet, Star base, Asteroid Field or System. Said item will also carry a Founder’s Name in the Bio Location info. A great way for a Guild to add a stamp to a new Galaxy.

The New Galaxy, well actually an old one as that’s where we (the Humans) came from, is currently riddled with the AI and what’s left of humanity, its LARGE and as stated above each system is much larger than the normal CE systems, allowing for more that just the usual celestial items.

So whilst I beaver away to bring this Galaxy and its contents to life, feel free to help Support CE and grab a Voucher and make a stamp on CE!
